Program description

Missions Vine sends short text updates to donors and friends who ask for them: a welcome message when you first give, a thank-you when a recurring gift goes through, monthly field update videos, quarterly grant news, prayer requests, and the occasional special message. Everything we text you is also sent by email, so texts are never the only way to hear from us.

• Quarterly grants awarded — About four texts a year when grants are sent to the field.
• Prayer requests — Occasional texts when the field asks for prayer.
• Special messages from Missions Vine — Rare — only for something that really matters.

How you opt in (and why it's optional)

You only receive texts if you check the text-message consent box yourself — on our public sign-up page at missionsvine.org/sms-signup, on the giving form, in your giving management page, or in the email preference center. The box is never pre-checked, and every one of those pages lets you decline texts and continue.

Consent to receive text messages is not required and is not a condition of any purchase, donation, or service. You can give, receive receipts, subscribe to email updates, and use every part of missionsvine.org without ever agreeing to texts. We never buy, rent, or import phone numbers. After you check the box we text a one-time 6-digit confirmation code, and consent is only recorded once you enter it. Your consent record (date, source page, and IP address) is stored with your contact record.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies — typically up to 2 messages per month, plus transactional messages tied to your own gifts. Message and data rates may apply. Missions Vine does not charge for texts; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply. We do not send texts during quiet hours in your local evening or early morning.

How to stop texts (opt out)

Reply STOP to any message to end all texts immediately. We'll send one confirmation text and then stop. You can also turn texts off — or choose exactly which kinds you want — in your preference center or your giving management page. Opting out of texts never affects your email updates, your gifts, or your receipts.

Carriers and delivery

Texts are delivered through our messaging provider over US carrier networks. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text delivery is not guaranteed, and some devices or plans cannot receive program messages.

Privacy

We never sell or share your phone number with anyone for marketing. Numbers are used only to send the messages you asked for. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for the full picture. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
